Gardaí in Waterford have launched an investigation after a number of residents had to be evacuated from their homes following a bomb scare on Thursday.
The investigation comes after a non-viable device was discovered at a house in the Scyamores Estate on the Dunmore Road, at approximately 3.30pm yesterday afternoon.
Although thankfully no one was injured in the incident, Gardai say The Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal team were called to remove the suspect device.
It is not yet known how the device ended up at the premises, but Gardai say an investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
