An investigation is underway after a gorse fire broke out at Puck’s Castle in South Dublin on Thursday afternoon.
It is understood the investigation comes after crews from Dublin Fire Brigade received reports that the raging fire was started deliberately.
In an announcement made on Twitter Dublin Fire Brigade said that they called to the scene of the fire which broke out in Rathmichael on Thursday afternoon.
Dublin Fire Brigade also said that it took crews from Dún Laoghaire, Tallaght, Rathfarnham, Dolphin’s Barn and Tara Street to tackle the blaze.

Although it is not yet known how the fire started Dublin Fire Brigade say they had received information that suggests that the fire was started deliberately.
