The Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the failure of radar equipment at Shannon Airport yesterday evening.
The issue caused the closure of large areas of Irish airspace for a number of hours.
While flight operations have resumed normally this morning, the IAA is probing the malfunction and will release a statement in the coming days.
