“Ireland already has a border” – DUP in deadlock today as Brexit hangs in the balance

Arlene Foster has staunchly come out against any Brexit deal taking place in the immediate future.

It appears that she really is putting it up to the British Government, Irish Government and the EU.

Speaking to RTE news yesterday, the leader of the DUP Arlene Foster insinuated that it was the Irish Government’s fault that she was seemingly left somewhat unaware as to what the text of the deal stipulated.

Making no time in making her point, the DUP leader insisted that she didn’t want to see a return of a “hard border” to the north but she reminded people that there is a border in place already, it’s just not a hard border.

Foster went on to say that as it currently stands – the proposed deal that was on the table yesterday and was agreed to by both the British and Irish governments was completely unacceptable and that they will not budge on it.

The Brexit deal now hangs squarely in the balance.
