Ireland could see its coldest winter yet as Met Eireann say a big freeze with stormy conditions and heavy snowfall could arrive within weeks

Ireland could be potentially set for its worst winter since 2010 as Met Eireann confirmed that a cold snap is expected to hit over the coming weeks.

According to The Irish Mirror newspaper, the national forecaster has said a considerable change is expected in the coming months which could bring stormy weather and heavy snowfall.

However it is not yet known when the change will come as Deirdre Lowe, a Met Eireann forecaster has said they are unsure when the change is going to hit, but snowfall in the Northwest of the country is probable.

The news comes less than a few days after renowned British forecaster James Madden issued a prediction in which he claims that the UK and Ireland could see its coldest winter in recent years.

Madden who has made numerous predictions over the years has claimed that a cold snap will develop this November and could possibily last until February 2019.

He also said sub zero temperatures along with heavy snowfall is expected with the worst of it possibly arriving in December.

It’s believed that ever changing weather patterns in the South Eastern Pacific could cause extreme weather in many parts of the world.
