The country is gearing up for the biggest protest march to date against the upcoming water charges.
A nationwide day of citizen solidarity will once again show the Government the stern popular opposition against being charged for a natural necessity.
The Right2Water agency has today released details of more than 50 events planned countrywide. A finalised list will be released to the media on October 30, according to them.
Following these events, Right2Water will sponsor a national people’s assembly outside the Dáil on Wednesday, December 10 (International Human Rights Day) at 1pm.
The Right2Water is an umbrella group which advocates the idea of water being a human right, rather than a trading commodity, and supports the demand to revoke the water charges.
