Ireland has been deemed the worst country in the EU on climate action for a second year running.
A panel of international experts from the Germanwatch and NewClimate Institute organizations decided that Ireland’s response to global warming is not up to what’s expected, ranking it worst in the EU, and indeed one of the worst in the entire world.
According to the ruling, Ireland’s corrective actions to reduce carbon emissions will not enable the country to meet the EU-set targets for 2020-2030.
