Ireland’s oldest dies at the age of 107

The country’s oldest man passed away on Sunday night, after more than a century of life.

Michael Lambert celebrated his last birthday in October and, and had held the title of Ireland’s oldest man since November.

A father of ten from Ballintubber, Roscommon, he died peacefully on Sunday night in Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe.

Respectful tributes were paid to Mr. Lambert at the monthly meeting of Roscommon County Council last night.
