A purpose built community facility for people living with dementia has officially opened in Co Limerick this week.

According to The Limerick Leader newspaper, the €5.5m facility which has been designed by CareBright, will provide top level care for patients living with the illness.

The brand new community which is located in Bruff has three bungalows which can house up to six people along with communal living spaces and gardens.

It is hoped the new facility will assist patients and the families of those who are affected by the illness.
