A public forum is being held in the RDS in Dublin to promote Ireland’s exit from the European Union on Saturday, February 3rd.
The event named “Irexit: Free to Prosper” will include guest speakers such as Nigel Farage MEP Cormac Lucey, John Waters and Clr James Charity.
While being mostly ignored and occasionally derided by the media in Ireland there is a growing euro-sceptic movement from across the political spectrum. This movement has been reinvigorated by recent announcements about Ireland’s involvement in PESCO, a nascent EU military alliance.
Recent calls for a fully-fledged, federalised European Superstrate by leading EU officials have also added to Irish anxieties about the political bloc.
The even is expected to attract considerable interest.
