A young man, believed to be in his 20s, was found dead inside the freezer of the Irish pub Molly Malone in Cincinnati, Ohio.
It is understood the man was an employee at the pub and the Irish-American community are said to be “shocked” by the man’s death.
The owners have pointed out that the freezer was not locked. Police have said that they believe no foul play is suspected and that is was simply a tragic accident that the young man happened, by chance, to get locked into the freezer.
In a gesture of good will, the pub will donate some of its proceedings for the cost of the young man’s funeral, it’s been reported Stateside.
It’s understood that this is not that rare of an occurrence for such a tragedy to take place in a freezer. A number of other people have died in similar circumstances over the past 10 years in freakish accidents.
