The 8-year-old Irish boy who tragically died after becoming trapped under a capsized speedboat off the coast of Massachusetts has been named.
Harry O’Connor, originally from Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, was riding on a speedboat with a group of 12 people when tragedy struck.
The craft capsized near Hog Island channel. A professional diver retrieved the boy’s body, and despite efforts to save him, Harry passed away last Wednesday.
It is understood the child lived in Sudbury, Boston, with his parents and siblings.
His funeral will take place on Thursday morning at St. Cianan’s Church in Duleek, Co. Meath, at 11 o’clock.
