The Irish Coast Guard has confirmed that it has rescued more than 3,000 people in 2017.
In its latest report the Coast Guard said they successfully 3,300 people in the past year in rescue missions across the country.
The Coast Guard also say during their rescue missions they managed to save 335 lives given some extreme conditions.
Although some rescue missions were successful the Coast Guard also seen a 30% rise in missions which seen them recover 65 bodies.
In all the Irish Coast Guard carried out 2,500 missions through its three Marine Rescue Coordination Centres based in Valentia, Malin and its Dublin-based headquarters.
