The number of Irish passport applications from British soil skyrocketed throughout 2018, rising by 22% on the previous year.

The figure sets a new record, according to the Passport Service office.

Brexit keeps casting a shadow of uncertainty and doubt over the future of both Ireland and the UK, a factor which is undoubtedly contributing to the rise in passport applications.
