Irish Rail hints at the closure of four routes unless revenue increases significantly

Irish Rail has hinted that four routes may be closed unless a significant increase in revenue is forthcoming.

The routes in question are Limerick to Ballybrophy, Limerick Junction to Waterford, Ennis to Athenry, and Gorey to Rosslare.

The company says that closing these routes would yield significant savings and avoid a potential bankruptcy situation this year.
