Irish Water are looking for solutions to water shortage including possibly implementing night time water rationing

The beautiful weather has led to a hosepipe ban as water shortages prevail throughout Ireland.

According to the Mirror, Irish Water are looking at solutions to the water shortage by looking at options which include possibly cutting off water supply over night.

No significant rainfall is forecast for the next week at least with temperatures pushing into 25c and beyond with sunny weather forecast.

The coming week is expected to remain largely dry and warm, though more unsettled conditions may set in towards the latter part. Still, Met Eireann has forecast no significant amount of rain.

An existing hosepipe ban may also be extended beyond the original date of July 31 if dry conditions continue.
