Irish Water release public statement denying rumours that the company will be rebranded




Management at Irish Water have officially confirmed that the much hated utility will be a rebranded after there was initial speculation that the company was considering making a whole host of changes.

The news was confirmed after a spokesperson for the state utility told the Press Association there is absolutely no truth in the current rumours that a rebrand is currently underway at Irish Water. The company’s public announcement comes after earlier reports had suggested that a total rebrand was to occur as part of a host changes after the next General Election, included the departure of CEO John Tierney.

Meanwhile the the company confirmed Mr Tierney has officially retired. The spokesperson released a brief statement regarding the news, saying: “John Tierney has confirmed his intention to retire in April at the end of his three year contract with Irish Water. “He said he very much appreciated the opportunity to work on the establishment of Irish Water, one of the most challenging projects ever undertaken in the public sector.”
