A young man, believed to be in his 20s, has lost his life in a drowning accident while on holidays in Croatia.
Local authorities are treating the man’s death as an accident. There are reports that the man had fallen into the harbour earlier, and was pulled out to sea.
The Department of Foreign Affairs is liaising with the Irish embassy in Zagreb to provide consular assistance.
