Irishman rushed to hospital after falling off a cliff in Portugal




A 27-year-old Irishman was rushed to hospital after falling off a cliff in Algarve, Portugal, on Thursday.

It is understood that the young man was attempting to climb up a steep rocky cliff when he lost his footing. He fell almost 100 feet and sustained severe injuries to his lower body and spine.

The reasons why he was climbing up the cliff are unclear.

He was airlifted to a hospital in Faro for treatment.
