The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said he is amazed that no one was injured or killed during the recent floods in Co Donegal.
Mr Varadkar’s comments came earlier today when he purposely visited Inishowen, Co Donegal to see the damage done by devastating floods over the past week.
Speaking tp reporters in Carndonagh, Mr Varadkar said: “You have to see it to understand the scale of the damage that has been done”.
“He said that it was remarkable that no one was killed or injured.”
The Taoiseach’s visit comes after a week of heavy rainfall flooded a number of areas in the region which caused great damage to people’s homes and businesses.
