It’s all about the money: Floyd Mayweather rejects Dana White’s reasonable offer to take on Conor McGregor

The ever lasting saga that is Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather in a crossover bout continues to rumble on as both fighters have hyped up the possibility of a super tight in recent months.

The pair who are well known for their brash antics as well as their fighting pedigree seem hell bent on squeezing every penny out of the possible matchup rather than squaring off once and for all.

However the latest twist in a long drawn out saga has now come from neither fighter, but instead from UFC supremoe Dana White who has unsuccessfully tried to arrange a comprise between the pair in terms of a payout.

According to reports stateside the UFC chief is more than willing to let the fight happen even though McGregor is under contract to his organisation. It is thought that the UFC chief is so hell bent on putting an end to the fiasco that he has suggested a reasonable figure for both fighters that would put the highly anticipated event on the cards.

Reports say White is more than happy to shell out $25m plus a share of the pay per view revenue to both fighters for the showdown to take place. But unfortunately the rather reasonable offer has been dismissed by the Mayweather camp already as the undefeated boxer said he will only enter such a fight for $100m.

Mayweather even went as far to label White’s offer as comical calling the UFC boss an ‘expletive comedian’. The news of the latest offer comes just a few days after Mayweather himself revealed that he offered McGregor $15m plus a slice of the pay per view revenue for the fight to take place.

It seems like its all about the money for both of these fighting greats! Do you think Dana White’s was more than fair and do yo think this fight will ever take place?.
