ITV commentator angers many with off colour remarks about the Fijian people during England V Fiji Rugby World Cup match

The Rugby World Cup has officially gotten underway last night with England showing a lackluster performance in beating Fiji, however there was controversy during the match rather than afterwards as one ITV commentator offended many by making an off colour remark about the people living in the South Pacific island.

Social media sites were awash with angry rugby enthusiasts voicing their disapproval after the commentator named Nick Mullins made some rather rude and possibly racist remarks about the people watching the game back home in Fiji, the commentator was reportedly heard saying: “They’ll be back in Fiji around one television hoping the generator doesn’t fail them.”

The remarks will not have gone down with the people living in the South Pacific, but they have not gone down well even more so with the people living here as well as our neighbours in the UK. Here is a taste of what some of the people had to say on Twitter.

It is not yet known wether or not the British broadcaster will take any action regarding the incident.
