The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has played the hand that was expected – he wants to stay in office.
Varadkar was responding to a pleading letter from the Fianna Fail leader who desperately wanted Varadkar to not call an election.
It’s understood that Varadkar wants to continue the Confidence and Supply government status quo for another two years, which would mean we wouldn’t have a general election until Autumn 2020.
