Former Tanaiste Joan Burton was present in court today, giving evidence against a teenager involved in the infamous Jobstown protest back in November 2014.

The teenager, who was 15 at the time, is being accused of false imprisonment.

Joan Burton’s legal team alleges that their client was trapped inside her vehicle for over three hours, as protestors surrounded the car.

Ms. Burton alleges that there was a lot of foul language uttered, and that the crowd were behaving in a threatening manner.

The trial continues.
