John Mahoney, the actor who played the role of Martin Crane in the hit 90s sitcom Frasier, has passed away aged 77.
Born in England, Mahoney emigrated to the US as a teenager, working odd jobs until he found success with a theater company in Chicago.
Though best known for his role as the grumpy but loveable father of Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer), Mahoney also had many movie and TV roles.
Mahoney passed away peacefully after a brief hospitalization.
