Ireland’s fly-half Johnny Sexton will not be part of the team facing Argentina in Sunday’s World Cup quarter-final, it has been confirmed.
He suffered groin injury during the match against France last week, but had trained as normal the last few days.
However, he reportedly suffered a setback during a training session yesterday and has now been ruled out of the team.
Ian Madigan will replace Sexton, while Paddy Jackson joins the replacement’s bench.
