Justice Minister confirms that the state will carry out detailed report on sexual violence within Ireland




The Minister for Justice Charlie Flanagan has confirmed that the state will carry out a detailed report on sexual violence within Ireland.

Mrr Flanagan confirmed that the Sexual Assault Violence Ireland (SAVI) report will begin next year and will gather information from around 5,000 victims.

It is understood that the second such report comes after sexual assault victims called for another report.

Mr Flanagan said the report will provide accurate information in regards to sexual violence and it will take some time for it to be completed.
