There is no end in sight to the current spell of wet weather, as more heavy rain is forecast for the next couple of days.
The only good news is that the west of the country will see some sunshine later today, with temperatures reaching 20C.
Later in the evening, heavy and thundery rain will spread northwards, though again the west should be spared.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, will be a rather wet and miserable day, though things will improve somewhat on Wednesday, with brighter conditions forecast.
The outlook for the rest of the week is for the usual mix of sunshine and showers, with temperatures peaking at about 20C.
