According to latest figures released by the Central Statistics Office the unemployment rate has slightly fallen in the past month.
The statistics show the unemployment rate fell by 0.1%, down from 7.2%, to 7.1%. The overall figure marks a 1.4% drop from this time last year when unemployment at 8.5%.
However the latest figures show there are still 150,000 people currently in January this year, although the CSO say it is 30,000 people less than this time last year.
