Today marks the first meeting of EU foreign ministers of 2015 and will be attended by Irish minister of Foreign Affairs Charlie Flanagan.
With reference to the recent attacks in Paris and Nigeria Mr.Flanagan has expressed his thoughts on how he believes that a strong partnership needs to be built between the EU, third world countries and the Middle East.
‘Terrorism does not respect borders” stated Mr.Flanagan.
The ministers are to discuss the problems of weapons trafficking, and the use of internet and social media in the terrorists attacks. They will also look at the passenger data flying in and out of the EU, which has been an issue held up in the European Parliament for many years.
