Leading bookmakers offering favourable odds on Conor McGregor being given a statue in his honor in Dublin City

The notorious Conor McGregor has taken the country and the world in the last 12 months, and now he could be given a great honour in the city of Dublin as bookmakers are calling for a statue to be erected to immortalise the UFC great.

The call and the book on wether or not McGregor will receive a statue next comes after leading bookmaker BoyleSports are offered odds that a statue will be erected of the newly crowned undisputed UFC featherweight champion in Dublin in 2016 at 33/1.

According to Aoife Heffron, PR Executive for BoyleSports, the statue is a real possibility, stating: “Ireland rallied behind Conor McGregor, supporting him from home and abroad, travelling far and wide to get behind the now Featherweight Champion,” said Aoife Heffron, PR Executive for BoyleSports. “It is undeniable that McGregor is an Irish legend and like ones gone before him, the best way to pay homage to him is in the form of a statue which is 33/1 to be erected in Dublin in 2016.”

The news will be surely welcomed by McGregor himself who infamously defeated Jose Aldo Jnr in just under 13 seconds at UFC 194 earlier this month.
