A leading children’s hospice group has called on the Government and the HSE to make hospice care available to every seriously ill child in Ireland.
The call which comes from the LauraLynn Children’s Hospice is being made as part of children’s hospice week which is being held this week to highlight the needs of over 700 children.
Speaking about the issue a LauraLynn spokesperson said that the government must be made aware of this serious issue and hospice care should be provided to all children who need around the clock care.
