Leinster have booked their place in this year’s Champions Cup final after a 38-16 victory over the Scarlets.

In a game that was billed as an epic encounter Leinster dominated the game from start to finish as they scored five tries to book their place in next month’s final.

Scarlets who were hopeful of booking their spot in Bilbao, were second best throughout as Leinster were superb at the breakdown and dominated the overall possession.

Leinster who could potentially face Munster on May the 12th scored five tries through Ryan (10), Healy (27), McFadden (40), Fardy (50), Sexton (60.

Scarlets who scored only one try late on through Beirne (79), were restricted by a determined Leinster defence who limited the Welsh side to penalties via Halfpenny.
