The man who is up for a political fist fight against Simon Coveney to take over from Enda Kenny as leader of Fine Gael, and accidental Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar has praised Enda Kenny to the all heights.
Leo Varadkar said:
“Enda Kenny has been an excellent leader for the past 15 years in Fine Gael”.
“Enda Kenny has said himself that he wouldn’t lead us into the next election, events this week have shortened that.”
The so-called next in line said:
“He himself knows exactly when the best time for him, the party and the country is to step down.”
There didn’t seem to be any animosity between Varadkar and Kenny today so it would make one wonder whether a deal has already been done behind closed doors.
