Locals say dissident IRA involvement in Roscommon KBC eviction is “complete nonsense”

Dissident IRA involvement in removing the KBC eviction gang from the farmhouse in Strokestown, Co. Roscommon last Sunday has been described as “complete nonsense” by a locals.

One local man told The Liberal
“Anyone stupid enough to believe that there was dissident involvement in Sunday’s actions needs their head examined.
There’s no IRA people around here and there never has been. Does Varadkar or the people spreading this rubbish think the dissidents brought the bails of hay that were used to block the roads down from the North of Ireland?”

“Dissident IRA people wouldn’t have bothered beating them, they’d just have shot them”.

He finished in saying “Those Belfast scum got a good taste of Roscommon steel last week and people around here can be very proud of the message that sends to KBC bank and Leo Varadkar”.
