In Dublin, multiple Luas drivers have given notice that they will strike for six more days during June, to protest their amount of pay.

Luas’ union SIPTU is set to officially inform Transdev, the operator of Luas of the four hour stoppages during the day throughout specific days in June.

People that will be most affected by this strike may be Leaving Cert and Junior Cert students who use the Luas on a daily basis to get to school, which may have a knock on effect on students getting to their exams.

State exams begin on the 8th of June.

Luas drivers have already organised to strike on this coming Friday, the 18th of May a Wednesday and the 26th/27th of May.

Here are the following days and times of service disruption:

2nd of June – no service from 3pm – 7pm

3rd, 7th and 8th of June – no service from 9am – 1pm

9th and 10th of June – no service from 3pm – 7pm.
