All bets are off in the long running Luas dispute.
After a twelfth day of strike, no agreement in sight, and unilateral moves by the Luas operator -Transdev- to dock drivers pay and cut sick allowances, SIPTU will now ballot drivers for an all-out strike action.
It is understood that drivers met at the Green Isle hotel in Dublin to discuss their next move.
Earlier today, a Fine Gael councillor sparked controversy with comments suggesting that Luas trams should be fitted with software to make human control redundant.
