Many of us dream of winning a life-changing amount of money, whether that be from scooping a large win from the National lottery, scratch card, or bet. Whilst it may seem like an unlikely fantasy for most, one woman was able to do just that. However, the lucky winner has recently hit headlines again for winning another jackpot, this time for even more money.
Jessica C was playing the Siberian Storm slot on Mr Green Casino Ireland when she managed to win the top prize. She netted a great deal of money from this, which has allowed her to live life at a leisurely pace and semi-retire. The jackpot win completely changed her life.
Her initial win was in the region of half a million euros, in November 2015. This amount is more than enough to dramatically change most people’s way of life, but it didn’t stop Jessica wanting to take the slots for another spin. Little did she know she would scoop another great prize.
Jessica Won a Second Jackpot in February 2017
In an extremely unlikely chain of events, Jessica won her second big money jackpot in February 2017. However, this time the jackpot was much larger, placing her overall winnings around the €4.3 million mark.
Even though the chances of something like this happening are extremely slim, it’s not completely unheard of. Take, for example, the Dublin shop which managed to sell 2 lottery jackpot winning tickets. Ken O’Toole has sold two big money National Lottery tickets within the past year. In March 2017, he sold one which nabbed a prize of €12.8 million. He also sold a ticket that scooped €6.5 million 10 years prior, as highlighted by the Irish Mirror. This is extremely unlikely – the odds of winning a single jackpot are 1 in 8,145,060 to 1, so for one shop to be responsible for selling two jackpot winning tickets is quite the feat.

However, there are more even weirder and unlikely winners of big money prizes. A couple who won £150,000 on EuroMillions, then went on to win another £150,000 after their dog found an additional winning ticket, as reported by the Mirror in the UK. This doubled their share of the prize pool, allowing them to walk away with £300,000.
Despite how statistically unlikely these events all are, they have granted the winners vast wealth, allowing them to pursue their dreams. Jessica has shared that her first win allowed her to travel the world and that she hasn’t yet decided what to do with the additional winnings. That being said, having multiple millions of euros in the bank is certainly enough to retire on, should she choose.
Online slots can generate big jackpots
Certain video slots run on a fixed payout model where prizes are awarded based on an initial stake. This means that the maximum prize value will be dictated by the initial line wager. However, Jessica was able to win a progressive jackpot. Progressive jackpots steadily accumulate over time and can be awarded to any player at any time, regardless of the amount they’re staking.
The biggest overall win from a progressive slot machine in history was for £13.2 million, which was equivalent to a gigantic €17.8 million at the time.
