Madeleine McCann: British police given an £150,000 to continue investigation




The investigation into the disappearence of Madeleine and will continue after the British Home Office reportedly granted further funding.

According to Sky News, a further £150,000 will be provided to continue the search for Madeleine who went missing in Praia de Luz in May 2007.

The news comes after previous reports in the British press suggested that funding was to be stopped after detectives leading the case found no new evidence in recent months.

However it is believed that the British Home Office granted funding up until March 2019 following a request from the Metropolitan Police.

The investigation which has lasted for more than 11 years has so far cost £11.75m.
