Madeleine McCann: Kate McCann shuts down online fundraising store

It has been revealed that Kate McCann has officially closed down an online shop used to fund the search for her missing daughter Madeleine.

According to the MailOnline, the website findmadeleine.com was closed down due to Kate herself being unable to attend to online orders.

In a statement released the website, Kate said the following: “Unfortunately due to many commitments and pressures, I am unable at this time to attend to website orders.”

“We greatly appreciate your support. Thank you to everyone who has kindly donated to Madeleine’s Fund through our Online Store (donations can still be made via one of the methods below).”

“Your support means a lot to us.”

The latest developments come after it was previously reported that funding from the British Home Office was due to be suspended after they recieved no more requests from detectives involved with the case.

According to reports in the British press, the Home Office has spent in the region of £11m on the search for Madeleine who went missing in Praia da Luz, in May 2007.
