18-year-old Australian model, Madeline Stuart has announced on social media that she will be taking part in New York Fashion Week next month.
Madeline, who is from Brisbane, will be the second person with down syndrome to take part in NYFW.
Ms Stuart only launched her social media accounts in May and already has gained over 435,000 Facebook followers and almost 60,000 Instagram followers.
Madeline doesn’t let her medical conditions stop her from succeeding (Madeline has three holes in her heart and a loose valve).
Ms Stuart said that apart from achieving her dream career she “hopes to change the way society view people with down syndrome”.
Madeline will take part in the show on September 13.
