Major disruption at hospitals all across the UK after hackers take control of the NHS IT Network

There is major disruption at hospitals all across the UK this afternoon after a group of hackers have taken control of the NHS (National Health Service) IT Network in a bid to extort money from the British health service.

The hack which occurred earlier today has led to hospitals across the country to postpone a large number of surgeries and emergencey procedures in the fear that patients private and personal information will be obtained by the cyber group.

Although no one has claimed responsibility for the attack the NHS say they have currently requested the assistance of the police after staff members at hospitals nationwide came across the message whilst they were carrying out routine filing obligations.

According to reports in the UK a large number of computers of hospital staff now have receieved a message telling them that their files have been encrypted and that they need to send $300 in Bitcoin to an online address.

The message says that it will not be possible to access the files until the money has been paid.
