A major investigation is underway after 16 people died yesterday, including 6 children, after a boat loaded with migrants capsized in the Aegean Sea overnight.
It is understood that the boat was sailing from Turkey to Greece.
Three people managed to swim to a nearby island and raised the alarm.
Thousands of migrants have perished at sea over the last two years while trying to reach the European continent.
Authorities say they’re still not fully aware as to what the cause of the accident was but that they believe it may have been to do with too much weight on board.
