Police in Gothenburg, Sweden have launched a major investigation after a six-month-old baby was reportedly kidnapped outside a nursery this afternoon.
According to Swedish newspaper The Local, the infant who was outside the nursery in a pram whilst her mother was inside collecting another child, was snatched at approximately 2pm.
It is believed that the baby girl’s mother was inside the nursery for five minutes and when she came out, the pram was gone.
The incident which has now led to police to start a major search operation with the use of sniffer dogs and a police helicopter.
Reports in Sweden say the baby girl’s father has been notified of the incident.
