Police authorities in the US state of Texas have launched a major search operation after a two-year-old girl went missing from a public park.
The widespread search comes after the infant Hazana Anderson, disappeared from College Station Park in College Station, Texas at around 9am Sunday morning.
According to reports in the US the toddler went missing after she was left alone in her stroller at a public park for a couple of minutes by her mom Tiaundra Christon.
It is reported that the little girl went missing after her mother Ms Christon returned to her car to fetch her bottle.
However Mrs Christon has since been arrested after she filed a false police report.
Although police haven’t released the exact charges Ms Christon will face it is believed that she has been charged with child endangerment given that she left Hazana in a dangerous environment which included a body of water which is located nearby.
Police investigating the case say a large scale search operation with the use of sniffer dogs and drones is now underway.
It is understood that Hazana has been missing for more than 48 hours and a number of community members have joined in to help authorities during the search.
