A 20 year old man has been charged in connection with an alleged assault on young woman in Dublin city centre on Tuesday evening.
The young man appeared in court earlier today, after he was officially charged by Gardai following the incident which occurred on Golden Lane in Dublin 8 at approximately 7.20pm on Tuesday evening.
It is understood the 18 year old woman received a number of stab wounds to her face during an attempted robbery.
Gardaí say the young woman is currently being treated at St James’s Hospital Dublin.
Meanwhile another young woman aged 17, has been released without charge after being questioned by Gardai.
