A 29-year-old old man is set to appear in court this morning after he was charged with the murder of business man Dermot Byrne who was assaulted whilst on a night out in Swords in Co Dublin last Saturday night.
Mr Byrne aged 56, and a father of three was was sadly pronounced dead at approximately 3am on Sunday morning after he was the victim of a brutal attack which occurred on North Street in the town.
The 29-year-old man who was arrested on Sunday but released without charge was re-arrested on Tuesday evening and was formally charged with the murder of Mr Byrne.
Gardaí say the man will now appear before Dublin District Court later this morning
