A man has appeared before a district court in relation to dissident Republican activities near the border in Co Louth.
The man in question was arrested by Gardai following a series of searches in the Dundalk and Newry regions on Friday afternoon. Gardai say the searches were conducted as part of a coordinated operation between them and the PSNI.
The 24-year-old man has appeared before the Special Criminal Court and has been summoned to appear before another hearing at a later date.
