A man in his early 30s was arrested after allegedly attending the A&E Department at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda carrying a firearm and a number of rounds of ammo.
The incident happened at around 4pm on Saturday. The man was arrested at the site, and later released without charge. The man did not threaten anyone, according to reports.
A file will be prepared for the DPP.
