Gardai in Dundalk have arrested a man in connection to an incident which left to garda members injured. The incident occurred at approximately 2pm in the town this afternoon.
The man in question is understood to have robbed a van in the Dullargy area of the town, when he then proceeded to ram into a garda patrol car, the van driver then made his way into the town centre where its is believed he crashed. The man who was armed with a knife twice ran at members of the gardai before he was arrested.
